The Cox Dust Devil meets the needs of a wide range of electric flyers. For a very small investment, the Dust Devil is a great electric boost sailplane. 

An inexpensive Speed 480 motor will power you up to altitude and then shut the motor off for great thermaling performance. 

You'll have the power to climb to altitude several times on a single charge so very long flight times are easy to obtain even for the beginner to soaring flight. 

Or, equip the Dust Devil with a wide range of brushless motor and battery combinations and the Dust Devil becomes a beast. The Dust Devil will scream to altitude and using the oversized spoiler, will let you nail the spot landing with ease. 

The Cox Dust Devil features a strong, lightweight fiberglass fuselage while the wing and tail surfaces are fully built up from lightweight balsa and ply. Yes we know that most models of this type include a fiberglass fuselage - fuselages that range from overbuilt baseball bats to fragile nothings that break on the first nose-over landing. We think you will judge the fiberglass work in the Dust Devil as first rate and it took a lot of prototypes to get it right. 

Light for good performance but with enough thickness in all the right areas especially the narrowest part of the fuselage just ahead of the tail. 

A full hardware package containing US sized spinner, pushrods and linkages is included. The model is already pre-covered in genuine Sig AeroKote in an eye catching, high visibility design featuring transparent covering on the wing to catch the suns rays as you pass overhead. 

The V-tail design keeps the tail light with the added benefit of keeping the tail from being damaged when landing in unmaintained flying sites. Perfect for competition or for lazy Sunday sport flying. 

The Dust Devil is a high performance model that is great for small flying field use. High climb rate gets you up and away and the powerful spoiler lets you clear the trees and still get down and stopped without the need for many acres of clear space.
