Wing Manufacturing F6F Hellcat Wing Span 61" Wing Mfg. has now released their 1/8 scale replica of this famous warbird. Their design team has combined state-of-the art, rugged airframe construction, along with scale realism and exceptional flight performance. The model features "A" frame balsa sheet fuselage, rigid foam core wings and tail with balsa sheet, full scale control surfaces, inner and outer functioning flaps, scale rear rotating landing gear installation and fully cowed engine.  Deluxe kit includes: Two full size plan sheets, step-by-step construction manual, precision-cut foam wing and tail cores, detailed canopy, heavy-duty cowl, laser cut formers and bulkheads, extensive hardware package, full color decal sheet, molded scale engine face, partial cockpit with instrument panel and all necessary sheeting to finish the entire airframe.  From its outset, the Hellcat was designed for good handling throughout the speed range. Aerobatic and dog fight maneuvers are performed easily with exceptional recovery response. There is no tip stall tendency with this bird, so now those impressive flaps down, spot carrier landings can be done with ease.  THE KIT This precision complete kit is designed to classic scale realism. The popular size of this plane gives it very reasonable wing loading for smooth flying.
