QTH FUELS

 POWERMASTER Hobby Products, Inc.

POWERMASTER Fuels are designed to give top performance in all types of model engines - ringed, lapped, ABC, ABN, AAC, 2-Stroke or 4-Stroke - model airplanes, cars , boats and helicopters. We use pure virgin methanol, the highest grade American made nitromethane and a blend of the finest available lubricants. Most blends contain approximately 2/3 synthetics and 1/3 AA castor oil. However, a number of all-synthetic or all-castor blends are also available. YS 20/20 (Pattern Blends), Low Viscosity Helicopter fuels and Mean & Green contain only synthetic oils.

NOTE: We will only ship fuel in Quart sizes -

Gallons must be picked up at the QTH Hobby Shop

Why POWERMASTER Fuels?

For 18 months, a very large multinational manufacturer of specialty lubricants conducted tests for the purpose of developing a proprietary oil for us to use in POWERMASTER FUELS. Please remember, these were not in-house tests, as others have frequently done, but were done by a very reputable outside facility.

After all that time and research by a highly qualified group of engineers, their best effort has been to develop an oil that could potentially reduce friction by about 4% compared with our present lubricant package, and provide an rpm increase of a little over 1 %. However, this would come at the cost of increasing head temperatores by more than 30 degrees, and necessitate increasing our retail costs by more than $3.00 per gallon. We felt neither of these costs were acceptable.

However, their tests did prove exactly what we've known all along: POWERMASTER FUELS are better than any other major brand currently available. On this page exact reproductions of the results of their tests. We believe these remove all doubt that our products are head and shoulders above any others. Equally as important, we believe these tests support our decade-old contention that the popular idea of a fixed percentage of oil content is nonsense, because the amount of oil required to properly lubricate an engine is totally dependant upon the types of oils, in what combinations and with what additives. None of the other three fuels compared for this test had the same oil content as ours - yet POWEMASTER FUEL out performed the others in every category. What more can we say? POWERMASTER FUEL - Simply the Best!
