She is easy to sail and easy to prepare for the water. The hull is a one-piece white ABS molding that needs no painting or maintenance. The two piece extruded aluminum mast dismantles for easy transportation and the booms are also made of aluminum. The Fairwind can be sailed with just one standard servo, or you can add a sail winch servo for increased control. The main sail and jib have battens to maintain their shape, just like the sails on full-size yachts. The kit includes many detail parts like the scale wheel, railings, anchor, bumpers and the many other features that make the Fairwind look just like a miniature version of a real yacht.
