Realtime telemetry from your car
The Sensor system supercharges your RC experience by "putting you in the car while you drive it".

Just like a NASCAR or Indy car driver, you get constant information from your car on how fast it's going, how the batteries are holding up, and how hot your engines and batteries are getting.

Since we wouldn't expect a NASCAR driver to watch a screen to see what his telemetry is saying, we don't expect you to either.  Sensor communicates with you using sound and touch, as well as its screen.

It can warn you by vibrating like a cell phone when your engine is over temperature. It can say anything you want (even using your own voice!) to tell you when your batteries are getting low or when you reach a certain speed in the straightaway.

Use your PC to set it up
You can totally customize how and when it tells you all this information too - Sensor connects to your PC and you can design your own sounds and screens for it. Rather than make you wade through multiple levels of menus on the small screen, Sensor lets you set up all of its features easily on your PC's screen.

Of course, you can adjust everything easily at the race using Sensor's high resolution graphic screen. It's a far step from the tiny text-based displays on today's crystal radios.

No more frequency clips, crystals or conflicts
While we were developing this great new radio system, we solved a lot of problems with old crystal radio technology to make RC easier and more fun. Sensor uses Nomadio's military-proven N-Max digital radio technology to provide a jam-proof high bandwidth control system for your car. 

Unlike insecure crystal radios, N-Max uniquely identifies your car.  You'll never ruin anyone else's race by accident and more importantly, nobody else can drive your car or ruin your race.  It's legal, too... ROAR, EFRA and QSAC have already approved Sensor for use in their events.

What about basics, like expos, dual rate, etc?
Of course, if Sensor didn't provide all the features you expect in a top-shelf RC controller, none of this great stuff would matter. Sensor provides all the dual rate, exponential curves, trims, and car memories that today's top radios do. The fact is that Sensor meets or exceeds the specs of the top controllers on the market in every way. For example, the Sensor has 40 model memories, which allows you to keep "versions" of your favorite setups that are tweaked for track and weather conditions. No crystal RC controller has more than 8 model memories.

It's a complete kit
The Sensor system is truly a "ready to run" radio controller system, unlike typical RC radios that force you to buy separate receivers, crystals, and batteries.

You get the controller, rechargeable NiMH batteries, a charger, speed, temperature and voltage sensors for your car and of course a reciever/transmitter for your car. You also get a cable to connect the Sensor to your  PC, and a CD-ROM that is full of PC software, hundreds of sounds that you can use or customize to make your own.

If you add up all the typical parts costs to equip a crystal RC car, you'l be surprised to find that Sensor system actually costs less than a top of the line RTR crystal system. Then if you include the cost of add-in telemetry systems, Sensor begins to look like a total bargain.

What about compatibility?
Even though the Sensor system makes all one-way crystal radios obsolete, it was designed to peacefully co-exist with crystal radios. It's all done in software, no crystals ever again!

NO MORE CRYSTAL RADIOS OR FREQUENCY CLIPS
Sensor uses digital 2.4Ghz spread spectrum radio technology. Just like your cell phone, Sensor finds a clear channel automatically without you ever having to deal with frequency crystals or glitches again. Sensor’s design has many features that are not immediately obvious from a few photo shots. Sensor owners will be pleasantly surprised over their first few months of use as they discover these design features through use.

• 20 % lighter - When loaded with batteries, Sensor is by far the lightest of the high end radios on the market at just 674 grams. Compare that to 855 g for Airtronics M8 and 816 g for Futaba's 3PK, a big difference for nitro racing.
  
• Sensor is balanced between head and foot – no arm strain on long races
  
• Sensor has a very short non-movable antenna – no more “swordfights” or bent antennas. Also no need to drive with the antenna over your shoulder to keep from poking the guy next to you.

Seven times the output power

FCC regulations allow for much higher power when Digital Spread Spectrum radios are used in Frequency Hopping mode. This provides Sensor 2 with N-Max even more usable range, and far better noise resistance.

100 Hz Refresh rate

Sensor 2 is still the fastest radio on the market, with 10ms maximum latency, 5 ms typical. No analog FM or AM radio can touch Sensor 2’s high speed digital throughput. Aftermarket DSS add-on’s are left in the dust.

40 Model Memories

Sensor 2 provides up to 40 model memories – more than anyone will ever need. But there is a great reason for all those memories.   Sensor 2’s vast memory allows you to store numerous variations for each of your cars, something you could never do with an 8 model controller. For example, you can store a separate setup for your monster truck on a normal  track, wet track, cold day, new tires, however many variations you want.

Fourth Servo Channel

Sensor 2 enables the fourth Servo channel on the Nomadio transceiver.  This servo can be used for a variety of functions, and it is programmed exactly the same as the third servo channel.

When was  the last time an R/C radio company added a servo channel to their product after you owned it?

Customize your Sensor!
When you connect your Sensor to a PC you open up a world of possibilities for customizing the way that Sensor relates all of the information it gets from your car back to you.

Using any PC graphic program, you can make your own custom screens, with your picture or whatever you want. Sensor's backlit screen has 128x64 pixels, which allows you to make huge letters that can be read from across the room.

Audio Alerts
Make your own audio alerts (or select from scores of audio files that we include with your Sensor). You can set up sounds to be triggered on a certain speed, a certain temperature, a certain voltage. We include hundreds of pre-recorded sound effects and professionally spoken words and commands on the Sensor software CD. You can also use any Windows WAV file that you find online with Sensor. If you are creative and want to make your own sounds, Sensor also comes with an audio recording/editing program that you can use to make your own alerts.
